Hunt With Python Cowboy
Bowfish On legendary Lake Okeechobee
We're on a mission to remove invasive species both above the water and below the surface. Tilapia, Clown Knifefish, Plecostomus, Snakeheads, and dozens of other species are wreaking havoc on our local waterways. One of our favorite ways to remove these species is to get a group on the boat with bows in their hands, take aim, and release arrows into the lake. These hunts are great for groups and you're sure to leave with some meat in the cooler.

Be A Part Of The Solution
Florida's Invasive Fish Species
Lake Okeechobee, a vital ecosystem in Florida, faces significant challenges from invasive fish species. These non-native intruders disrupt the delicate balance of the lake's aquatic life, impacting both the environment and the local fishing industry. Bowfishing is a great way to put a dent in these invasive species populations.
Tilapia
Known for their rapid reproduction and hefty appetite, tilapia compete with native fish for food and habitat. Their aggressive feeding habits can also disturb aquatic vegetation, impacting the overall ecosystem.
Clown Knifefish
Native to Southeast Asia, this species has been introduced to Florida waters, likely through the aquarium trade. With its ability to grow to impressive sizes and its appetite for smaller fish and invertebrates, the clown knifefish is a formidable predator.
Plecostomus
Originally from South America, these catfish have been introduced to the state through the aquarium trade and have since thrived in warm, freshwater environments. Their ability to survive in a wide range of conditions and their appetite for algae and detritus have contributed to their rapid spread.
Snakehead
Native to Asia, the snakehead has become a formidable invasive species in Florida waters. Known for their aggressive predatory behavior, these fish consume a wide range of prey, including smaller fish, frogs, and even birds. As apex predators, snakeheads can decimate native fish populations, leading to cascading effects throughout the food chain.

Where We Hunt
Welcome To Okeechobee
There's nothing quite like setting out on the lake at night, standing on the boat, with a bow in your hand, and surrounded by the night sky. The lights from the boat illuminate the surrounding water. The gators come out, the bullfrogs are croaking, and the crickets are trilling. It's an incredible experience.
