Meet The Best Guides For The Job
Providing Authentic Florida Experiences
We're fortunate to work with some of the most knowledgeable and experienced hunting guides in the state of Florida. The hunts we provide require years of experience and dedication to the craft and we couldn't have a better, more trusted team of folks to ensure you have a great time with us in the woods and on the water.
Mike Kimmel
Born and raised in Florida, Mike has been fascinated with reptiles since he was a kid. For over a decade, Mike's been trapping and removing invasive species from Florida's wild lands with a focus on pythons, iguanas, and other reptiles.
After starting Martin County Trapping & Removals, Mike pioneered new ways to track and hunt pythons in the Everglades—training the first-ever team of snake-hunting dogs. He holds records for the numbers of snakes caught, nests found, and eggs found. When he's not in the woods, he's on the water with his girlfriend Allison, and their daughter Clementine.
Tombo Riley
Tombo grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northern Virginia. Since he was old enough to walk, he was hunting and fishing for everything with his dad and sister. At 16 years old, he moved to Florida with his family and has been here in Okeechobee ever since. For the last 22 years, Tombo has been working at a cattle ranch and an irrigation and landscape company with his wife, Wendi. They have six kids and four grand-babies.
Tombo enjoys being in nature no matter where he's at. His passion is deer hunting, but if it walks or swims he's usually huntin’ it with the family, old friends, and new friends he makes while guiding hunts.
"Slingshot" Sammie Allgood
Born and raised in Okeechobee, Florida, Sammie comes from a long line of Florida Crackers. He was raised in the outdoors, taking his first whitetail at nine years old, and it was all downhill from there. At 14 years old he borrowed a welder from a neighbor and built his first swamp buggy which sparked a lifelong career in welding and fabrication, again, it was all downhill from there.
Nowadays Slingshot spends his weeks trapping and shooting iguanas, taking pride in his home state's ecosystem by removing invasive species. His favorite hunting is done from an airboat or a swamp buggy for deer or hogs on ranch land from Okeechobee to Lake Wales.
He loves seeing the enjoyment in the experience of taking folks hunting and teaching the ethical management of invasive species. He'll give you a hard time, but you can guarantee you'll share a few laughs and have a hunt you'll never forget.
Matt Polack
Matt runs iguana hunts, python hunts, and hog hunts with us. He's an avid dog hunter and has quite the pack of dogs himself. Born and raised in Redlands, Florida, Matt has been hunting and fishing his whole life. It all started with Snook. His dad is a big snook fisherman and they're still one of Matt's favorite species today.
Matt's uncle owns Arsenal Arms, the largest firearms dealer in Homestead, so he's always been around guns and hunting. His parents immigrated to the US from Jamaica and have owned nurseries for over 30 years. He grew up in those nurseries shooting avocados out of trees with his dad. They would dove hunt over the fields and pick off iguanas after the hunt with the leftover bird shot.
When Matt got his first hog dog, Shooter, everything changed. Matt fell in love with running dogs and hunting with dogs. When you're a dogsman, you're either a true dogsman or you're not. Matt is a true dogsman.
